Angela Pulvirenti speaks to award-winning journalist, advocate and activist, Indira Naidoo with actress Kat Stewart and House of Arras Winemaker, Ed Carr on some of their favourite sparkling wines.

Kat Stewart

Award-winning actress Kat Stewart burst onto the scene and our television screens in 2009 with her unforgettable performance as Roberta Williams in the ground breaking first season of Underbelly. She went on to star in the Foxtel drama Tangle, then Ten’s crime-comedy Mr & Mrs Murder opposite television personality Shaun Micallef. She is perhaps now best known for her starring role in the hugely popular Channel Ten drama Offspring, currently in its seventh season. And there is definitely one thing Kat has in common with her beloved Offspring alter ego, Billie Proudman – a love of champagne and sparkling wine!

Indira Naidoo is one of Australia’s most popular broadcasters and authors. During her 30-year award-winning career, Ms Naidoo has hosted and reported for some of the country’s most distinguished news and current affair programs – including ABC’s Late Edition and as anchor and reporter for SBS TV’s The World News Tonight. In recent years Indira’s journalistic interest has shifted towards the role global environmental issues play in conflict, poverty, food security and homelessness. Her list of accomplishments is long and varied, including being a sustainability consultant with the United Nations’ trade development arm, The International Trade Centre.
